Written in the StonesThe ritual of afternoon tea in the sunny Connaught Room began in 1868, when Lord and Lady Ardilaun would enjoy daily refreshments here. Today, guests are served a selection of traditional finger sandwiches and fresh-baked scones, along with cream and homemade jams.
