Fresh-cut cedar boughs embellish the rare, seventeenth-century Jacobean oak tester bed in the Britts’ Old English–style master bedroom. Standing at the foot of the bed, a late-eighteenth-century French tambour frame holds an original “in process” piece of embroidery. An extremely talented French hand-sewing specialist, Jennifer has contributed countless hours of stitching to furnishings throughout the home, including the cornice, the pillows, the gold silk drapes at the window and the bed, and the English tapestry side drapes, shown here.
