10 Ideas for Holiday Decorating

Follow a color palette that speaks to you.
Shimmering gold befits the luxury of antiques and Old-World–style accessories. Enhanced with creamy ivory, the setting invites both intimate conversation and jovial gatherings. Vivid reds and greens symbolize the season for those who prefer jewel tones, with trimmings inspired by nature. Even pastels—soothing and tranquil—have their place during wintertime.

    • Thank you for enjoying the look from antique China. I didn’t know they were running with this picture. It’s an English Transferware pattern from a set I own personally. My business is Thompson-House Interiors, located in Birmingham, Alabama at Architectural Heritage, 205-322-3538. Or ThompsonHouseAntiques@gmail.com. Thank you, I will try to locate pattern for you. 2. If you live in a small home or apartment, you may struggle to decorate for the holidays. After all, you don’t want your living room to look cluttered. But on the other hand, you don’t want it to look as if you don’t have any holiday spirit. Right? Of course not! The key to decorating is to choose a few key pieces and use them wisely. I love the bustle and celebration and believe that the all-important holiday spirit starts in a well-furnished home. Every year brings a new opportunity for interesting holiday decorating ideas.
