Romantic Castles of the United Kingdom

The coronation site for generations of royalty, Scone Palace remains one of Scotland’s most revered landmarks. Step inside this twelfth-century structure, and glimpse priceless heirlooms, such as a writing desk that once belonged to Marie Antoinette.

  1. Although I would prefer a modest cottage in the Cotswolds over a large castle or Manor house, I must admit there is an aspect of this grandeur that is both exciting and awe-inspiring. The sheer size and well thought out plans for each and every need to be met is really a feat deserving of our applause !

The beautiful interiors with the luxurious woods, fabrics, and paintings are simply breathtaking. No one does this quite like the English and much of this is in evidence with the gardens alone. Spectacular !

    God bless !
