Romantic Castles of the United Kingdom

Romantic Castles of the United Kingdom

Following their nuptials in 2011, Prince William and Kate Middleton retreated to The Isle of Anglesey to begin their married life. Visit the tranquil surrounds of this tiny island in northwest Wales, where a stroll down a groomed path through dense woodland offers a glimpse into the traditions of titled aristocracy at Plas Newydd. Erected in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, the National Trust property consists of a gracious manor house and sprawling, elaborately manicured grounds.

  1. Although I would prefer a modest cottage in the Cotswolds over a large castle or Manor house, I must admit there is an aspect of this grandeur that is both exciting and awe-inspiring. The sheer size and well thought out plans for each and every need to be met is really a feat deserving of our applause !

The beautiful interiors with the luxurious woods, fabrics, and paintings are simply breathtaking. No one does this quite like the English and much of this is in evidence with the gardens alone. Spectacular !

    God bless !
