Rhapsody in Blue

Behind the house, a wicker chair draped with lace netting forms a spot for relaxation. Albert Roek built the simple shutters framing the windows and painted them a pretty shade of blue—his wife’s favorite color. “We really feel at home here,” says Clementine, “and we love it when friends and family visit.”

To discover the full story behind this remarkable restoration, see “Rhapsody in Blue” on page 75 of the French Cottage 2019 issue from Victoria Classics.

  1. I loved this feature article in the new French Cottage Classics issue which I recently received. Not only were the photos wonderful, but I rather enjoyed the storyline behind it. I would love to trade places with this couple to enjoy a wonderful new life in this beautiful home and surroundings !

This special issue was a real treat to look through and to dream of visiting France and their beautiful countryside !

    God bless !
