Castle Fraser
With its core portion dating to the mid-1450s, Castle Fraser owes its dramatic façade to several renovations that incorporated elements of Regency, Tudor, and Gothic styles. The castle remained in the Fraser lineage until 1921, when it was purchased by the 1st Viscount Cowdray as a project for his son, Clive Pearson, who spent two decades restoring the residence to its former grandeur, complete with Fraser family portraits and memorabilia.
