The Hermitage Museum
Andrew Jackson, the seventh president of the United States, made his home at The Hermitage. The elegant cantilevered staircase and scenic French wallpaper in the center hall, the dining room where Jackson’s portrait hangs, and the bedroom his grandchildren used appear much the same as they did in 1889, when the estate was opened as a museum.
