Elizabeth and her husband, Chris, a theologian and distinguished Biblical scholar who holds a part-time senior position at the University of Toronto, divide their time between North America and an enchanting former presbytère situated just across the lane from the grounds of Château de Courances. Their three-story house dates to the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries and brims with old wooden beams, tomette tiles, and shutters painted the softest shade of duck-egg blue.
