In this region, most gifts are exchanged on Christmas Eve. Our offerings hide behind paper packaging, tied gingerly with jute string and twigs of cedar. A wooden snowflake ornament is also secured to the parcel—a keepsake offering to be cherished along with the wrapped gift and perhaps later hung upon the tree.
