The homeowners’ design choices, though varying in style, create a personalized treasury befitting these experienced renovators. While Nigel learned to replaster the cob walls in the living room, Christine crafted a handmade light fixture using willow branches and twinkling lights and designed modern bathrooms—a detail she loves even in a period property. The careful planning of this project and the stewardship of its elegant restoration are evident. “We feel so settled, and we’d never dream of moving,” says Christina. “I suppose you could say we’ve found our forever home.”
