Having owned property in France for ten years, Christina and Nigel knew blues and grays would create an atmosphere of respite and give the place a decidedly French feel when accompanied by their collection of antique furnishings. “I wanted to honor the cottage’s history by using traditional pieces as much as possible,” says Christina. Whitewashed ceiling beams, butcher-block countertops in the kitchen, and driftwood-outlined décor bring nature indoors, allowing for a playfully relaxed atmosphere in an otherwise sophisticated space.
