Five Creative Tips from Artisan Stephanie Monahan

Adding Grace Notes
Stephanie suggests taking gifts over the top with an extra detail that conveys joy in the making. She offers a length of French ribbon wrapped around a handmade box as an example. “This can be repurposed later to hang a plate, an ornament, or an antique medal,” she says. One of her greatest delights is seeing how customers incorporate her wares into their homes, taking items she has produced and giving them new life. “Listen to your artistic voice,” she says, “and see where it takes you.”
