Salted Caramel Sauce
 
Makes approximately 1 cup
Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1½ teaspoons sea salt
Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, combine sugar, water, and corn syrup. Simmer over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until temperature registers 320° on an instant-read thermometer or mixture is honey-colored. Remove from heat, and whisk in cream until mixture is smooth.
  2. Whisk in butter and sea salt until smooth. Let cool to room temperature before using. Sauce can be stored, refrigerated, in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
