The Concord Literary Trail

For two years, two months, and two days, Thoreau lived and wrote in the woods near Walden Pond in Concord, Massachusetts, all the while maintaining friendships with fellow writers in the area. Sojourners can trace his steps along Lexington Road to the homes of Louisa May Alcott, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and Nathaniel Hawthorne.
