More than a decade ago, Maria Bray began learning the craft of jewelry making with the hopes that the pursuit would bring back some sense of self to her life. The small atelier, named The North Way Studio in honor of her homeland, began as an Etsy shop vending her handmade wire-wrapped wares but has since flourished into what she calls “a dragon’s hoard of jewels,” from custom engagement rings to other breathtakingly smithed pieces.
