A Gustavian Style Shop in Paris

Tucked among the boutiques and eateries that characterize Saint-Germain-En-Laye–a community 10 miles from the center of Paris–Au Temps des Cerises (The Time of Cherries) has been a fixture of the upscale retail district for more than twenty years. The showroom abounds with case goods, upholstered seating, and accessories. A stately clock stands sentinel over an eclectic assemblage, complementing a Napoleon III chaise lounge. Lending a touch of whimsy is a donkey trophy, crafted of papier-mâché in Provence.
