The Prieuré de Salagon, which dates back to the twelfth century, is noted for its aromatic gardens designed with native plants of Provence. In addition to an herb garden and a medieval garden that provides windows into ancient horticultural practices, a large portion of the property is devoted to the cultivation of corn, wheat, and rice crops.
