Trimming Your Thanksgiving Table

Taking a cue from the brilliantly colored autumn landscape, there are many creative ways to incorporate the best of fall indoors on your holiday table. The age-old process of tea staining lends a rich patina to plain white place cards. With a fine pen, carefully write your guests’ names in swooping script, adding another vintage touch. Affix the cards to diminutive antique bottles, and decorate with papery seedpods and colorful berries and foliage for beautiful placeholders that double as keepsakes at the end of the evening. Layering linens and china in an autumnal palette brings the outdoors in and creates a rich look on the table. Use sprigs of herbs, individual leaves, or even branches to add a pop of texture to a simple napkin or napkin ring crafted from waxed twine.

To find more decorating ideas and a seasonal harvest menu, see “Late-Autumn Joy: Savoring a Cozy Harvest Repast,” on page 30 of the November/December 2009 issue of Victoria magazine.
I clicked on Valentine tablescape and got Thanksgiving will that be fixed and resent?
I get the magazine and I tried finding one of the recipes as indicated in an earlier issue. I couldn't find it, called the magazine, and no one could help me. It was discouraging because the pictures of the food was beautiful. I've kept all your issues and would still like to find those recipes.
For those of you who couldn't see the Valentine's Day spread, go back to the original e-mail and click on "Isn't It Romantic?" There's definitely a link problem, but clicking there will get you to the right images.
I also missed th4e Thanksgiving aspect of your publication but also I am seeing this after clicking on your valentine table scape ideas that was emailed to me as part of what's new in Victoria on 12/10. Thankgiving is over-why is this still here?
I, too, would have liked to see at least one comprehensive Thanksgiving feature in the November/December issue. Creative use of nature's bounty to decorate the home as well as table could be a focus. I found the photos of the harvest table in the current issue to be lacking in the kind of heart-stopping beauty formerly displayed on Victoria's pages.
